Short-term prediction of regional energy consumption by metaheuristic optimized deep learning models
Modern civilization is heavily dependent on energy, which burdens the energy sector. Therefore, a highly accurate energy consumption forecast is essential to provide valuable information for efficient energy distribution and storage. This study proposed a hybrid deep learning model, called I-CNN-JS, by incorporating a jellyfish search (JS) algorithm into an ImageNetwinning convolutional neural network (I-CNN) to predict weekahead energy consumption.

Consolidation of applications in cloud computing environments presents a significant opportunity for energy optimization. As a first step toward enabling energy efficient consolidation, we study the inter-relationships between energy consumption, resource utilization, and performance of consolidated workloads. The study reveals the energy performance trade-offs for consolidation and shows that optimal operating points exist. We model the consolidation problem as a modified bin packing problem and illustrate it with an example.

The calculations showed that the results are comparable to the best MOFs for the hydrogen storage up to date. The results also elucidated that the gravimetric hydrogen uptakes depend on the special surface area and pore volume of the MIL-88s. These important structural features, if properly improved, lead to an increase in the capability of hydrogen storage in MIL-88s.
