This study investigates first-year English major students' attitudes toward ER activities, addressing the question: “What are first-year English majors’ perceptions of extensive reading activities?” Despite considerable research interest in ER, students’ perspectives on this activity have not been thoroughly evaluated at the university level, highlighting a significant gap in the literature.

This research examines the use of evaluative language in academic writing essays about living in dormitories by 15 EFL undergraduate students at a university in Hanoi. Using Martin & White's Appraisal Framework (2005) and the UAM Corpus Tool, we analysed 15 essays (5725 words).

The study investigates the speaking anxiety experienced by first-year English majors. 152 first-year English majors at a public university in Hanoi participated in the questionnaire. The results show that participants had a medium level of English-speaking anxiety.

The purpose of this paper aims to find out the language of “Affect”, “Judgement” and “Appreciation” in the category “Attitude” used in English restaurant reviews in terms of syntactic features and semantic features. The findings reveal that the semantic features, the positive evaluative Attitudes reflected in the samples outweigh the negative values.

The modeling techniques based on Automata and Bitvector are also studied in this thesis. Apart from that, the analysis and evaluation of available test case generating methods on different constraint are mentioned. Our thesis shows the quality of semantic vector representation with random projection and Hyperspace Analogue to Language model under about the researching on Vietnamese. The main goal is how to find semantic similarity or to study synonyms in Vietnamese. We are also interested in the stability of our approach that uses Random Indexing and HAL to represent semantic of words or documents. We build a system to find the synonyms in Vietnamese called Semantic Similarity Finding System. In particular, we also evaluate synonyms resulted from our system.

WISDOM considers the following to be the source of information credibility: information contents, information senders, and information appearances.
