The study in this paper utilizes Vietnamese firm-level data to investigate the relationship between trade liberalization and the productivity performance of Vietnam’s manufacturing sector. The data covers the years 2007 to 2016 when substantial trade liberalization took place. The semi-parametric approach developed by Levinsohn and Petrin (2003) is used to control for simultaneity bias in the estimation of a production function and to obtain TFP estimates.

This paper is set out to explore the performance of the APT in the Vietnamese market in the context of the U.S - China trade war 2018. Testing on the listed stocks in Vietnamese stock exchanges provides a certain impact of the trade war on the asset pricing models’ effectiveness. Specifically, the trade war casts the effects on the prediction power of economic forces on the expected returns of the Vietnamese stocks. This is the first study to bring light into the investigation of the validity of the APT in the Vietnamese economy in the wake of the trade war.

The Environment Protection Fund is a state-owned institution that mainly provides concessional loans for environmental projects in Vietnam. Understanding the factors of access to green finances contributes not only in theory but also in the practice of identifying the financing constraints, and thereby supporting several policy implications. After conducting in-depth interviews with 32 individuals from the six largest and most experience Environment Funds and their clients in Vietnam, we identified three factors affecting access to concessional loans for environmental protection.

The objective of this study was to examine the characteristics and elements that affect e-wallet users' overall satisfaction in Hanoi, Vietnam, with 175 surveys collected in Hanoi. Each of the five major factors affecting user satisfaction has been detailed, starting with the least important and working toward the most important, including “Means”, “Reliability”, “Service Capacity”, “responsiveness” and “empathy”.

The study provides empirical evidence from a sample of 438 employees working in small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam through assessing the appropriateness of the measurement model and testing the linear structural model PLS- SEM. Research results show that the components of the green transformation leadership style have a positive influence on green human resource management.

This paper uses the autoregressive method of 23 years to investigate the effect of transitioning to a green economy with those mentioned issues on sustainable development in Vietnam. The results show that FDI and trade openness has a negative impact on sustainable development in both a short time and a long time, whereas using renewable energy and technological innovation significantly promotes sustainable development in Vietnam.

Despite a large number of studies on CSR with the sole focus on emerging economies, this concept in the specific Vietnamese market has yet to receive apprehension and qualified research. Data were collected from questionnaires sent to 217 subjects, including auditors; audit assistants; and audit managers of 27 auditing firms in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Diversification is usually seen as a strategy to improve bank risk and performance until the recent financial chaos, which has raised many concerns about this claim. Despite the growing number of empirical studies on the relationship between diversification strategy and banks' profitability, researchers have not yet been able to find a general agreement. In order to distribute earnings to shareholders, besides cash dividend, the firms can also buy back shares. However, compared to cash dividends, share repurchases are less common. Therefore, the thesis only focuses on cash dividend policy of the firms. Specifically, the thesis studies the dividend payment policy of 460 firms listed on HSX and HNX between 2010 and 2016. The data is collected from 2009 to 2017. The data needed for research is extracted from the Datastream database. The final sample includes 2,653 firmyear observations.
