In this paper, the control design for the grid-connected converter used as a part of the wind turbine generator is discussed. First, the three-phase T-type multilevel converter, which exhibits several advantages such as low total harmonic distortion, reduced voltage stress, and switching loss, is employed for the power stage. Second, finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) is adopted to achieve a multi-objective optimization solution for the inner grid-connected current control loop.

NW Iran-SE Turkey is a tectonically active zone related to the Arabia-Eurasia convergence, but the active stress state in this zone has not yet been clearly studied. To improve the knowledge of present-day stress state in this region, optimum reduced stress tensor was analysed. For this, a large number of earthquake focal mechanisms (277) were collected. The analyses show most mechanisms exhibit strike-slip to thrust faulting. These data indicate that this region is dominated by an N158° maximum horizontal compressive stress (SHmax) belonging to a transpressional tectonic regime.

Garnet-bearing xenoliths are observed within a trachytic dome extrusion in the Hisarlıkaya region (Ankara). These garnets exhibiting greenish-reddish-dark brown colour and ranging in sizes up to 1 cm were examined in terms of mineralogical, geochemical, and gemmological characteristics. New polymeric phthalocyanine moieties (M = 2H, Zn, Ni, Cu, and Co) were synthesized via polytetracyclomerization reaction of o-bis[3-(3,4-dicyanophenoxy)propyloxy]benzene (3), which can be obtained by the reaction of 4-nitrophthalonitrile with o-bis[(3-hydroxypropyl)oxy]benzene. Aggregation and disaggregation behavior of the polymeric phthalocyanine (5) was studied with some alkali and earth alkali metal cations. Measured intrinsic viscosities of the polymeric phthalocyanines exhibited a substantial decreasing tendency with dilution of the solution.

A rhodamine B derivative containing 1,2,4-triazole as subunit was characterized as an “off–on” type Cu2+ - selective fluorescent probe. It exhibited high selectivity and sensitivity for Cu2+ in ethanol–water solution (9:1, v:v, pH 7.0, 20 mM HEPES) and underwent ring opening. A prominent fluorescence enhancement at 570 nm was observed in the presence of Cu2+ with the change in the absorption spectrum, and a 1:1 metal–ligand complex was formed.

In this study, some enzymology parameters and some antibiotics affecting the enzyme activity of 6- phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6PGD) extracted from t the livers of fish from Lake Van (Chalcalburnus tarichi) were investigated because it is an important enzyme-producing NADPH, a reductive power, protecting the cell against the oxidative agents by producing reduced glutathione. The crude enzyme solution was obtained by using the affinity chromatography method.

A fluorescent probe based on benzoyl hydrazine was synthesized and characterized as an Al3+-selective fluorescent probe. This probe showed good selectivity towards Al 3+ compared to other common ions. Under optimized experimental conditions, the probe exhibited a linear dynamic response for Al 3+ from 5.0 × 10−7 to 4.5 × 10−6 M with a detection limit of 1.3 × 10−7 M in ethanol–water solution (9:1, v:v, pH 6.8, 20 mM HEPES). Furthermore, it was used for imaging of Al3+ in living cells with satisfying results.

This article presents optical property, crystal structure, and photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cell (PSC) in n-i-p structure using simple single-step solution method with antisolvent drip. The fabricated PSC exhibited a relatively high photovoltaic performance with the best power conversion efficiency of 15.8% under forward bias scan.

Nitrogen-doped carbon nanodots (CDs) were prepared via the solvothermal method, using urea and triethylene glycol as the starting materials. The as-prepared CDs had individual diameters of approximately 100 nm and were in clusters of different sizes. The surface composition and optical properties of the as-prepared CDs were characterized. They exhibited multicolor emission properties in the visible range when excited with a wide wavelength range. The aqueous solution of the CDs was used in highly sensitive tartrazine determination.

From the study of the SU(2) gauge field coupled with two massless scalar fields, we have found solutions to the corresponding YangMills equations. These classical solutions exhibited a form of confinement to an SU(2) gauge charge. Energy expressions of the corresponding gauge and scalar field configurations are obtained.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) synthesized via chemical vapour deposition without hydrogen were oxidized with 0.1 M potassium permanganate at 40 OC for 2 hours. The material exhibits a high CuII adsorption capacity from the aqueous solution. X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms were used to characterize the oxidized CNTs. Aspergillus oryzae, a safe filamentous fungus, is widely used in food and enzyme production. In this study, we examined a cultivation model using rice husks as carrier to assess the capacity of recombinant protein production in A. oryzae. The model was first tested with the A. oryzae strain expressing the DsRed reporter gene. The expression of DsRed was easily detected by the pink color of the fungal mycelium on culture media and under a fluorescence microscope. The model was then evaluated with the phyA gene encoding a phytase from the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus.

In this work, ZnO nanorods (NRs) were successfully grown on printed circuit board substrates (PCBs) by utilizing a one-step, seedless, low-cost hydrothermal method. It was shown that by implementing a galvanic cell structure in an aqueous solution of 80 mM of zinc nitrate hexahydrate and hexamethylenetetramine, ZnO NRs can directly grow on the PCBs substrate without the assistance of a seed layer. The effect of hydrothermal time on the surface morphologies, and the crystallinity of the as-grown ZnO nanorods (NRs) was also investigated.
