Suburbs in Melbourne present to us a unique context with which a new approach towards urban form can be devised using the existing conditions and opportunities found with infrastructural developments. This thesis contains the investigations on the various 'pathologies' of the urban fabric specifically on the potential use of 'Spaces Left-Over After Planning' as by-product to infrastructural development in relation to the reinvigoration of Melbourne suburbs under the influence of current and future metropolitan growth pressures.

In this paper, we prove global second derivative estimates for solutions of the Dirichlet problem for the Monge-Amp`re equation when the inhomogee neous term is only assumed to be H¨lder continuous. As a consequence of our o approach, we also establish the existence and uniqueness of globally smooth solutions to the second boundary value problem for the affine maximal surface equation and affine mean curvature equation.

In this paper we prove the global existence and uniqueness (regularity) of strong solutions to the three-dimensional viscous primitive equations, which model large scale ocean and atmosphere dynamics. 1. Introduction Large scale dynamics of oceans and atmosphere is governed by the primitive equations which are derived from the Navier-Stokes equations, with rotation, coupled to thermodynamics and salinity diffusion-transport equations, which account for the buoyancy forces and stratification effects under the Boussinesq approximation. ...

A major unmet clinical need exists for long-acting neurotherapeutics to alleviate chronic pain in patients unresponsive to available nonaddictive analgesics. Herein, a new strategy is described for the development of potent and specific inhibitors of the neuronal exocytosis of transmitters and pain mediators that exhibit unique antinociceptive activity.

TWO-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS FOR HIGHER-ORDER LINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH STRONG SINGULARITIES R. P. AGARWAL AND I. KIGURADZE Received 4 April 2004; Revised 11 December 2004; Accepted 14 December 2004 For strongly singular higher-order linear differential equations together with two-point conjugate and right-focal boundary conditions, we provide easily verifiable best possible conditions which guarantee the existence of a unique solution. GLOBAL ATTRACTOR OF COUPLED DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS AND APPLICATIONS TO LOTKA-VOLTERRA SYSTEMS C. V. PAO Received 22 April 2004 This paper is concerned with a coupled system of nonlinear difference equations which is a discrete approximation of a class of nonlinear differential systems with time delays. The aim of the paper is to show the existence and uniqueness of a positive solution and to investigate the asymptotic behavior of the positive solution. Sufficient conditions are given to ensure that a unique positive equilibrium solution exists and is a global attractor of the difference system.

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF SOLUTIONS OF HIGHER-ORDER ANTIPERIODIC DYNAMIC EQUATIONS ALBERTO CABADA AND DOLORES R. VIVERO Received 8 October 2003 and in revised form 9 February 2004 We prove existence and uniqueness results in the presence of coupled lower and upper solutions for the general nth problem in time scales with linear dependence on the ith ∆derivatives for i = 1,2,...,n, together with antiperiodic boundary value conditions. Here the nonlinear right-hand side of the equation is defined by a function f (t,x) which is rd-continuous in t and continuous in x uniformly in t.

ON THE EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF SOLUTIONS TO BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS ON TIME SCALES JOHNNY HENDERSON, ALLAN PETERSON, AND CHRISTOPHER C. TISDELL Received 13 August 2003 and in revised form 11 February 2004 This work formulates existence, uniqueness, and uniqueness-implies-existence theorems for solutions to two-point vector boundary value problems on time scales. The methods used include maximum principles, a priori bounds on solutions, and the nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder. 1.

The Black Art of Xbox Mods- P12:This book would not exist without all the incredible amount of diligence by individuals who freely gave their hard-earned knowledge to others. This book is not a unique work by any means, and although everything described herein was performed by me, I do not take credit for figuring out anything on my own.

Stability Issues in RNN Architectures Perspective The focus of this chapter is on stability and convergence of relaxation realised through NARMA recurrent neural networks. Unlike other commonly used approaches, which mostly exploit Lyapunov stability theory, the main mathematical tool employed in this analysis is the contraction mapping theorem (CMT), together with the fixed point iteration (FPI) technique. This enables derivation of the asymptotic stability (AS) and global asymptotic stability (GAS) criteria for neural relaxive systems.
