The research has designed a novel active truck seat suspension system for a further study of active vibration control. A 5-degree-of-freedom driver and seating suspension system model for active vibration control has been developed. A novel fast system parameter identification method from vibration measurement data has been proposed for the seat-occupant system based on the multi-objective Genetic Algorithm optimization (GA).

The main purpose of the study was to determine the adoption of selected ecological agricultural practices by the farmers and the factors influencing the adoption in district Kanpur Dehat. Two blocks were selected randomly from the district and three villages were selected on random basis from each block, thus a total of six villages were selected from two blocks, 20 respondents were randomly selected from each village thus a total of 120 respondents in total were interviewed on a structural schedule.

This paper presents a hybrid method that combines the genetic algorithm (GA) and the ant colony system algorithm (ACS), namely GACS, to solve the traffic routing problem. In the proposed framework, we use the genetic algorithm to optimize the ACS parameters in order to attain the best trips and travelling time through several novel functions to help ants to update the global and local pheromones.

An applied field of biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bioproducts. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biotechnology) It is the products and exploitation from other fundamental sciences.Traditional Biotechnology Traditional biotechnology refers to a number of ancient ways of using living organisms to make new products or modify existing ones. In its broadest definition, traditional biotechnology can be traced back to human's transition from hunter-gatherer to farmer.

The envelope protein gp64 of the baculovirusAutographa californicanuclear polyhedrosis virus is essential for viral entry into insect cells, as the glycoprotein bothmediates pH-dependentmembrane fusionandbinds tohost cell receptors. Surface modification of baculovirus particles by genetic engineering of gp64 has been demonstrated by various strategies and thus has become an important and powerful tool in molecular biology.

Human butyrylcholinesterase (BChE; EC 3.1.1.8) is of particular interest because it hydrolyzes or scavenges a wide range of toxic compounds including cocaine, organophos-phorus pesticides andnerveagents. The relative contribution of each N-linked glycan for the solubility, the stability and the secretionof the enzymewas investigated. Arecombinant monomeric BChE lacking four out of nine N-glycosylation sites and the C-terminal oligomerization domain was stably expressed as a monomer in CHO cells.

The (ba)8-barrel is the most common enzyme fold and it is capable of cata-lyzing an enormous diversity of reactions. It follows that this scaffold should be an ideal starting point for engineering novel enzymes by directed evolution. However, experiments to date have utilized in vivo screens or selections and the compatibility of (ba)8-barrels with in vitro selection methods remains largely untested.

The structure of the complex between the minor groove binder netropsin and d(GGCCAATTGG) was determined via single-crystal X-ray tech-niques. The structure was refined to completion usingrefmac5.1.24, result-ing in a residual R-factor of 20.0% (including 68 water molecules). Using crystal engineering and cryocooling techniques, the resolution could be enhanced to 1.75 A ˚ , resulting in an unambiguous determination of the drug conformation and orientation.

The efficient engineering of enzymes with novel activities remains an ongoing challenge. Towards this end, genetic selection techniques provide a method for finding rare solutions to catalytic problems that requires only a limited foreknowledge of structure–function relationships. We have used genetic selections to extensively probe the structure and mechanism of chorismate mutases. The insights gained from these investigations will aid future enzyme design efforts.

We show a simple and reliable method of tRNA aminoacylation with natural, as well as non-natural, amino acids at high pressure. Such specific and noncognate tRNAs can be used as valuable substrates for protein engineering. Aminoacylation yield at high pressure depends on the chem-ical nature of the amino acid used and it is up to 10%.

An approach based on anin silico analysis predicted that CYP77A4, a cytochrome P450 that so far has no identified function, might be a fatty acid-metabolizing enzyme. CYP77A4was heterologously expressed in a Saccharomyces cerevisiaestrain (WAT11) engineered for cytochrome P450 expression. Lauric acid (C12:0 ) was converted into a mixture of hydroxy-lauric acids when incubated with microsomes from yeast expressing CYP77A4.

KcsA, a potassium channel fromStreptomyces lividans, was the first ion channel to have its transmembrane domain structure determined by crystal-lography. Previously we have shown that its C-terminal cytoplasmic domain is crucial for the thermostability and the expression of the channel. Expression was almost abolished in its absence, but could be rescued by the presence of an artificial left-handed coiled coil tetramerization domain GCN4.
