  • The study was undertaken to determine and compare the biochemical profile and its correlation with milk production in cattle. The study was done on each of six Gir, Kankrej and Crossbred cattle. The animals were divided in to three groups viz. 0-90 days of lactation (Group I), 91-180 days of lactation (Group II) and 181 till dry stage (Group III). Blood was collected aseptically before and after milking. The plasma biochemical estimations were carried out on BS - 120 Chemistry Analyser (Mindray) using the diagnostic kits.

The present study was carried out in cattle reared at different organized dairy farms in and around Durg to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of synbiotics along with antibiotic in diarrhoeic cattle. A total of 18 cattle were selected and divided into three groups. Group I (n=6) served as normal healthy control whereas group (n=6) II and III were diarrhoeic cattle.
