The present work is carried out to study the effect of intensity of heating on qualitative tests used for the detection of common adulterants in milk.

The study was conducted on twelve lactating Murrah buffaloes which were randomly distributed into 2 groups consisting of six animals in each group i.e. control group without any fenugreek supplementation and treatment group supplemented with soaked fenugreek seeds @ 100 g per animal per day. The animals were maintained under same managemental conditions. The observations were recorded 3 months (90 days) postpartum.

The study was undertaken to determine and compare the biochemical profile and its correlation with milk production in cattle. The study was done on each of six Gir, Kankrej and Crossbred cattle. The animals were divided in to three groups viz. 0-90 days of lactation (Group I), 91-180 days of lactation (Group II) and 181 till dry stage (Group III). Blood was collected aseptically before and after milking. The plasma biochemical estimations were carried out on BS - 120 Chemistry Analyser (Mindray) using the diagnostic kits.

Diarrhoea is one of the most important problem causing great economic loss to dairy industry by drastic reduction in milk production. The present study was carried out in cattle reared at different organized dairy farms in and around Durg to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of synbiotics along with antibiotic in diarrhoeic cattle. A total of 18 cattle were selected and divided into three groups. Group I (n=6) served as normal healthy control whereas group (n=6) II and III were diarrhoeic cattle.

Probiotics are kind of live and beneficial microorganisms that reside in the gastrointestinal tract of human and rodent and also naturally found in the fermented milk products. The probiotic correlation between consumption of probiotic and amelioration of metabolic problems has been confirmed by various studies. Though low solid-not-fat syndrome (SNF) is not a major problem in indigenous breeds like Amit Mahal, in Holstein Friesian and Jersey cross breed cows low SNF is of economic concern to the farmers as the price of the milk is based on the content of SNF. The study was undertaken to determine and compare the serum metabolic profile in indigenous cattle like Amrit Mahal and Holstein Friesian crossbred and Jersey crossbred cows. Selected animals were grouped based on the breed as Group I (Amrit Mahal), Group II (Holstein Friesian crossbred) and Group III (Jersey crossbred cows).
