The receptance function is very important which interrelates the harmonic excitation and the response of a structure in the frequency domain. This report presents the exact formula of receptance function of AFG beam with varying width. When the width of beam decreases from the fixed end to the free end, the natural frequencies of the AFG beam increase.

Ebook "Non-linear optical response in atoms, molecules and clusters: An explicit time dependent density functional approach" is to present, in sufficient detail, a non-perturbative technique for calculating optical hyperpolarizabilities. The ability to efficiently compute hyperpolarizabilities, for a variety of different molecular systems, makes this brief invaluable for those engaged in the computational design of new electro-optical materials.

In this work, we investigate the validation of the even-to-odd universality helium atom consisting of two electrons, applying the time-dependent density functional theory. The results demonstrate that the multielectron effect manifesting through the repulsive Coulomb and exchange-correlation interactions does not considerably change the universality of the even-to-odd ratio of the helium atom.

This paper presents a new pulse width modulator control method using the offset function to reduce switching loss in five-level Cascade inverter. The proposed technique is based on the offset function being 3rd harmonic voltage. The offset voltage will be added to the control voltages so that the voltage of phase which has absolute of load current largest move into top or bottom of the carriers.

This paper establishes the exact receptance function of a clamped-clamped beam carrying concentrated masses. The derivation of exact receptance and the numerical simulations are provided. The proposed receptance function can be used as a convenient tool for predicting the dynamic response at arbitrary point of the beam acted by a harmonic force applied at arbitrary point.

In this paper, vibration of a 2D-FGSW Timoshenko beam formed from three distinct materials traversed by a harmonic load is studied by the finite element method. The beam consists of three layers, a homogeneous core and two FGM skin layers with the material properties continuously varying in both the thickness and length directions by power functions.

The paper shows that the response of the random Rayleigh system, which is under harmonic and random excitations, can be found by a system of algebraic equations. The analytical approach is based on the stochastic averaging method and equivalent linearization method in Cartesian coordinates so that the Fokker-Planck equation associated with the linear equations obtained can be solved exactly by the technique of auxiliary function. The harmonic excitation frequency is taken to be in the neighborhood of the system natural frequency.

We will show that Schrodinger equations for low-dimensional systems can be solved by the method of quantum Diffusion Monte Carlo (DMC). The wave function and energy in a ground state are found for the two-dimensional harmonic oscillator, quantum wells, quantum wires and quantum dots. This is great approach for problems of low-dimensional systems. In this paper, the sign of the wave function is not treated.
