  • In this paper, we consider a boundary value problem for a fully fourth-order nonlinear functional differential equation which contains all lower derivatives of proportional delay arguments. By the reduction of the problem to operator equation for the right-hand side nonlinear function, we establish the existence and uniqueness of the solution and construct iterative methods on both continuous and discrete levels for solving it.

  • In study "Determination of the optimal density contrast in the seafloor depth inversion from gravity anomalies using the Gravity-Geologic method on the central East Sea" the iteration method was applied to determine the optimal density contrast. Firstly, a density contrast is given. Then, the seafloor depths are calculated and compared with the shipborne depths. In the next step, change the density contrast and repeat the calculation. Finally, the optimal density contrast is determined corresponding to the smallest deviation between the gravity anomaly-derived depths and the shipborne depths.

  • This paper presents a new effective iterative learning control method for repetitive motion-tracking control problems of robotic manipulators. The controller is comprised of two control loops. In the inner loop, a simple proportional-derivative signal is adopted to stabilize the closed-loop system that facilitates design of the outer loop.

  • In this work, we consider the Dirichlet boundary value problem for nonlinear triharmonic equation. Due to the reduction of the problem to operator equation for the pair of the right hand side function and the unknown second normal derivative of the function to be sought, we design an iterative method at both continuous and discrete levels for numerical solution of the problem.

  • This article presents the pseudospectral method to calculate numerical solutions for nonlinear Duffing differential equations on the interval [–1, 1]. This method is based on the differential matrix using the Chebyshev Gauss – Lobatto points. To find numerical solutions of the nonlinear Duffing differential equations, we have built an iterative procedure. The software is used in calculating in this study is Mathematica 10.4. The obtained results show that this method has high accuracy with very small errors.

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm for solving the split variational inequality problem in Hilbert spaces. In order to solve this problem, we propose a new algorithm and establish a strong convergence theorem for it. Compared with the work by Censor et al. (Numer. Algor., 59:301-323, 2012), the new algorithm gives strong convergence results. It shows that the iterative method converges strongly under weaker assumptions than the ones used recently. Some numerical examples are also given to illustrate the convergence analysis of the considered algorithm.
