  • In this study, a control system is proposed for the induction servomotor to achieve the highprecision speed tracking based on wavelet fuzzy cerebellar model articulation controller. In this proposed scheme, the wavelet fuzzy cerebellar model articulation controller (WFCMAC) is used to imitate an ideal controller due to it incorporates the advantages of the wavelet decomposition property with a fuzzy CMAC fast learning ability and the smooth compensator controller with bound estimation is designed to attenuate the effect of the approximation error caused by the WFCMAC approximator.

  • This research work relies on kernel regression methods for constructing nonlinear regression models. These models can be used to solve function approximation tasks in construction engineering. The newly developed software program was developed with the Visual C# .NET. The program has been tested with the task of estimating the punching shear strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete slab.

  • The bracing systems have been considered a reliable solution for the seismic-resistant design of buildings, which has been widely applied in recent years. This article aims to investigate the performance of braced frame structures in the seismic-resistant design. Typical buckling restrained braced frames, represented by an approximate bilinear behaviour, are selected to perform nonlinear time-history analyses.

  • This paper considers the problem of a low-velocity normal impact of a rigid cone-shaped upon a viscoelastic plate. The contact force is defined by the modified Hertz's contact law. Approximate solutions of the system of nonlinear integro-differential equations for the contact force and local indentation have been obtained.

  • The paper presents a new approach to the speed control of a switched reluctance motors (SRM) is that using a back-stepping controller combining with an artificial neuron network based flux estimator. The nonlinear mathematical model of switched reluctance motor (SRM) is established and the back-stepping control strategy is applied to control SRM. The ANN will be used to estimate the flux of the motor instead of approximated model or experimental values.

  • In this paper, we present an effectively numerical approach based on isogeometric analysis (IGA) for geometrically nonlinear analysis of retaining walls. The geometrical nonlinearity is formed in the total Lagrange approach; Whereas, the material is linear elastic. Deformations are large to use finite deformation theory.

  • The time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau (TDGL) equation with thermal noise is used to calculate the complex fluctuation conductivity in high-Tc superconductor in three dimensional (3D) model at zero magnetic field. The nonlinear interaction term in the TDGL is treated within self-consistent Gaussian approximation we go beyond the often used lowest Landau level approximation.

  • Small-signal modeling is a common analysis technique in electronics engineering which is used to approximate the behavior of electronic circuits containing nonlinear devices with linear equations. It is applicable to electronic circuits in which the AC signals, the time-varying currents and voltages in the circuit, have a small magnitude compared to the DC bias currents and voltages.

  • The paper presents a new approach to the conventional averaging in which the role of boundary values is considered in a more detailed way. It results in a new weighted local averaging operator (WLAO) taking into account the particular role of boundary values. A remarkable feature of WLAO is that this operator contains a parameter of boundary regulation p and depends on a local value h of the integration domain. By varying these two parameters one can regulate the obtained approximate solutions in order to get more accurate ones.

  • In this article, the considered problem of Cauchy reaction diffusion equation of fractional order is solved by using integral transform of Laplace coupled with decomposition technique due to Adomian scheme. This combination led us to a hybrid method which has been properly used to handle nonlinear and linear problems. The considered problem is used in modeling spatial effects in engineering, biology and ecology. The fractional derivative is considered in Caputo sense. The results are obtained in series form corresponding to the proposed problem of fractional order.

  • This article highlights a robust adaptive tracking control approach for a nonholonomic wheeled mobile robot by which the bad problems of both unknown slippage and uncertainties are dealt with. The radial basis function neural network in this proposed controller assists unknown smooth nonlinear dynamic functions to be approximated. Furthermore, a technical solution is also carried out to avoid actuator saturation. The validity and efficiency of this novel controller, finally, are illustrated via comparative simulation results.

  • Fractional calculus (FC) is widely used in many interdisciplinary branches of science due to its effectiveness in describing and investigating complicated phenomena. In this work, nonlinear dynamics for a new physical model using nonlocal fractional differential operator with singular kernel is introduced. New Routh-Hurwitz stability conditions are derived for the fractional case as the order lies in [0,2). The new and basic Routh-Hurwitz conditions are applied to the commensurate case. The local stability of the incommensurate orders is also discussed.

  • We propose a new monotone finite-difference scheme for the second-order local approximation on a nonuniform grid that approximates the Dirichlet initial boundary value problem (IBVP) for the quasi-linear convection-diffusion equation with unbounded nonlinearity, namely, for the Gamma equation obtained by transformation of the nonlinear Black-Scholes equation into a quasilinear parabolic equation. Using the difference maximum principle, a two-sided estimate and an a priori estimate in the c-norm are obtained for the solution of the difference schemes that approximate this equation.
