In addition, their inhibitory activity on NO production and cytotoxic effects against human embryonic kidney cells (HEK-293A) and human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) were evaluated. This is the first study of the phytochemical investigation of P. ginseng sprouts cultivated in Vietnam and ginseng sprouts also contained the same main active ginsenosides as in the 4–6-year old roots.

Photocatalytic degradation proficiency was studied for bromothymol blue dye. Phytochemicals-coated Nickel Oxide nanoparticles demonstrated antibacterial properties against bacteria (gram negative strain of E. coli, Pseudomonas spp. and gram positive strain of Bacillus spp.) by showing highest zone of inhibition (19 mm, 22 mm, 15 mm).the antioxidant activity of the synthesized nanoparticles were also examined and the result show that the fabricated nanoparticles exhibited significant radical scavenging activity.

Egypt is the world's largest date producing country. Different functional foods pertaining to date seeds were attempted before. Phenolic phytochemicals are not well absorbed in gastrointestinal tract, which results in lower bioactivity. Nanotechnology helps to resolve poor oral bioavailability. Aim was to evaluate the in-vivo anti-inflammatory properties of date seed powder (DSP) nanoparticles (NPs) and infusion in rats fed a high fat diet (HFD).

This study was conducted to investigate the potential of phytochemical extracts on extending the shelf-life of harvested tomato fruits, and to determine which phytochemical extracts can best enhance its shelf-life. The free radical scavenging activity (FRSA) of tomato fruits coated with phytochemical extracts stored under ambient condition and the toxicity of the phytochemical coatings was also evaluated.

This study screened phytochemicals to determine their total polyphenols content (TPC) by Folin-Ciocalteu reagents and to evaluate antioxidant activity using DPPH scavenging, ABTS cation decolorization, and reducing power assays of various extracts of Symplocos cochinchinensis leaves. A correlation between TPC and antioxidant activity was analysed by Pearson’s method.

The aim of this study is to estimate phytochemical constituents and antioxidant activities of tomato slices treated by microwave heating. Two treatments time were applied, 30 and 300 s. Quantitative analyses of phenols, flavonoids, lycopene, followed by the evaluation of the antioxidant activity by DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and ion chelating methods, were conducted on ethanolic extracts.

In the present work, essential oil and fatty acids and extracts obtained from aerial parts of Phlomis linearis Boiss. & Bal. were investigated for chemical composition and biological activities. The phytochemical analyses were conducted with gas chromatographymass spectrometry/flame ionisation detector (GC-MS/FID) and liquid chromatography-mass spectromtetry (LC-MS/MS) techniques. The extracts and essential oil were studied for α-amylase and acetylcholinesterase activities with two different spectrophotometric methods.

Garcinia species are widely used for their slimming effects via increased fat burning and suppression of satiety. However, scientific evidence for the biological effects of Garcinia atroviridis (GA) is lacking. We investigated the phytochemical composition, safety profiles, and antioxidant and antiobesity effects of methanolic extracts of Garcinia atroviridis (MeGa) in obese female rats. Repeated dose toxicity studies were conducted according to the OECD guidelines.
