  • Ebook "Generational accounting: Theory and application" gives a complete and up-to-date introduction to the theory and practice of the method. It reveals deficiencies of the original residual concept and discusses various measures of intergenerational redistribution based on the recent sustainability approach to generational accounting. An application using data on German public finances serves to provide an in-depth explanation and practical illustration of the technique.

  • In this work, we investigate a minimal SU SU U U (3) (3) (1) (1) C LXN(3-3-1-1) model and argue how it improves the phenomenological and theoretical aspects of the known minimal 3-3-1 model. The lepton content includes only the standard model leptons, which form (3)L SU (anti)triplets, and the right-handed neutrinos, which transform as (3)L SU singlets, in order to cancel the B L − anomalies. We show that the electroweak and B L − interactions are unified, similarly to the electroweak theory, at the TeV scale.

  • This study attempts to quantify the shocks to a banking network and analyze the transfer of shocks through the network. We consider two sources of shocks: external shocks due to market and macroeconomic factors which impact the entire banking system, and idiosyncratic shocks due to failure of a single bank. The external shocks we considered in this study are due to exchange rate shocks. An ARMA/GARCH model is used to extract i.i.d. residuals for this purpose.

  • Quantitative structure-activity relationship and molecular docking studies were carried out on a series of quinazolinonyl analogues as anticonvulsant inhibitors. Density Functional Theory (DFT) quantum chemical calculation method was used to find the optimized geometry of the anticonvulsants inhibitors. Four types of molecular descriptors were used to derive a quantitative relation between anticonvulsant activity and structural properties. The relevant molecular descriptors were selected by Genetic Function Algorithm (GFA).

  • In this paper the exact moisture concentration function m(z, t) is used to compute the hygroscopic residual stresses in laminated composites. The governing equations were established by using a full higher-order displacement theory. Hygroscopically induced residual stresses in thick graphite-epoxy composite laminates: Cross-ply [0/90] 8 based on this approach were compared with those obtained by assumption: the moisture concentration m is a constant in all plies through the laminates thickness.
