Hydroplaning is a dangerous phenomenon during operations at airports that causes loss of control of aircraft during takeoff and landing. In tropical climates with high average annual rainfall like Vietnam, the risk of hydroplaning is very high.

This project is focused on studying the biological effects of low-power RF radiation on the expression and function of mechanosensitive ion channel protein (Piezo-1). To evaluate the effects of long-term exposures, cells were exposed at the frequency of 1800 MHz and power of 17 dBm for a period of 2 and 4 hrs using the transverse electromagnetic (TEM) cell exposure system. To study the effects of short-term RF radiation (10 min), exposures emitted from the mobile phone headset at the frequency of 845 MHz and powers of -15 dBm and -5 dBm were applied to cell cultures.

In this study, two main parameters; welding speed and welding voltage were used to evaluate the angular distortion, transverse shrinkage and longitudinal shrinkage occurred in GMAW process. The results show that the angular distortion is larger with lowest welding speed.

We study Legendrian knots in a cabled knot type. Specifically, given a topological knot type K, we analyze the Legendrian knots in knot types obtained from K by cabling, in terms of Legendrian knots in the knot type K. As a corollary of this analysis, we show that the (2, 3)-cable of the (2, 3)-torus knot is not transversely simple and moreover classify the transverse knots in this knot type. Surfaces of sections are a classical tool in the study of 3-dimensional dynamical systems. Their use goes back to the work of Poincar´ and Birkhoff. e In the present paper we give a natural generalization of this concept by constructing a system of transversal sections in the complement of finitely many distinguished periodic solutions.
