This study used the straight-type air blade, which is more common than the elbow-type, to evaluate the effect of blade angle on air uniformity in small industrial drying equipment. CFD method is used to predict the air distribution in the chamber, which has a strong influence on the drying rate efficiency and the product quality.

This article investigates the free vibration of the porous metal foam plates resting on an elastic foundation based on the isogeometric approach (IGA). The elastic foundation is modeled as a two-parameter of Winkler and Pasternak foundations. The pores are assumed to vary through the thickness direction in three types: uniform, symmetric and asymmetric distributions.

Large deflections of functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) sandwich beams are studied in this paper by a nonlinear finite element procedure. The core of the beams is homogeneous while the two faces are of CNTRC material. The effective properties of the two CNTRC face sheets are determined by an extended rule of mixture. CNTs are reinforced into matrix phase through uniform distribution (UD) or four different types of functionally graded (FG) distribution, named as FG-X, FG-A, FG-V, FG-O.

The plasmon characterization of AgNS on paper was systematically investigated by the diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The fabricated paper-based SERS substrates were used to detect melamine in an aqueous solution and to determine the influence of type RAs on the enhancement factor (EF) and signal uniformity of SERS substrates. Among the four types of RAs, the SERS substrates used NaBH4 have the highest SERS signal with the limit of detection of 10-8 M for melamine and the EF = 2.3 × 109 .

In this paper, an analytic technique is proposed is to investigate and analyse initial voltage distributions with different types of high voltage shunt reactor’s winding when affected by a lightning impulse/voltage impulse. The aim of the present note "Holomorphic maps of uniform type" is to find some necessary and sufficient conditions for the equality (UN) \(H\left( {E,{\rm{ }}X} \right){\rm{ }} = {\rm{ }}{H_u}\left( {E,{\rm{ }}X} \right)\) to hold. This problem for vector-valued holomorphic maps, i.e. for the case where X is a locally convex space, was investigated by some authors. The first result on this problem belongs to Colombeau and Mujica.

In this study, the hot forging process of a connecting rod was performed using both finite element method (FEM) and experimental method (EM). With four workpiece types, the forging processes were conducted using QForm.10.1.6 to evaluate the maxinmum forging force, the temperature contribution, the plascity tress, the filling ability, and detect the laps in the forging products.
