In this paper, we will prove a uniqueness theorem for meromorphic functions with finite growth indices on a complex disc sharing some small functions with different multiplicity values. Intersecting points between these mappings and small functions with multiplicities more than a certain number do not need to be counted.

This body of work is the culmination of a part-time five year investigation into the use of mirroring in digital art composition and its potential to generate affective intensity. The research has occurred through a series of installative works and artefacts produced with digital media in which mirrored operations have been employed in a variety of different ways. The aim of these explorations was to develop and articulate a compositional approach based in acts of mirroring, with the aim of extending affective invitations to the viewer.

The nasal route for drug administration has the potential for local and systemic delivery of a wide variety of therapeutics. Nasal spray drug delivery has the potential to administer drugs to the bloodstream, avoiding the use of painful needles. While there is great potential, studies in the area are limited and somewhat conflicting. This study aimed to support the improvement of nasal drug delivery through experimental work on a model nasal cavity and through experimental characterisation of nasal spray behaviour. Four different brands of nasal spray were investigated.

This research project will investigate how combining systems of tessellation1 , modularity2 and seriality3 can be utilised with a specific method of paper staining to explore visual pathways within an artwork. A serial system4 of modular tessellation will be implemented, whereby different “sets” of oil-and-pigment soaked paper modules will be constructed and formed into various configurations.

The study was carried out during 2013-14 in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh state to focus on the sugarcane growers regarding impact of knowledge on adoption level of IPM practices. The 80 contact farmers were selected as respondents. The study revealed that the maximum knowledge gap was found to be existing in previous crop residues, crop rotation, hand picking of the insect and their destruction, hot air and water treatment, light and pheromone trap, microbial control, use of natural enemies, resistant varieties, biopesticides/ bio-agents, application and dose of different pest etc.

A field experiment was conducted at Boodamanahalli village, (Bangalore rural district) to know the effect of tikka disease, caused together by Cercospora arachidicola and Cercosporidium personatum on biochemical parameters viz., total sugars, total phenols and total proteins as influenced by different sowing dates in groundnut. It included two varieties, TMV-2 a highly susceptible one and GBPD-4 a resistant with nine sowing dates starting from December 2008 to August 2009 at monthly intervals.

Prosaposin is a neurotrophic factor that has been demonstrated to mediate trophic signalling events in different cell types; it distributes to surface membranes of neural cells and also exists as a secreted protein in different body fluids. Prosaposin was demonstrated to form tightly bound complexes with a variety of gangliosides, and a functional role has been suggested for ganglioside–prosaposin complexes.

Strong increase in the production of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) observed over the years has led to a consolidation of transgenic seed industries worldwide. The dichotomy between the evaluated risk and the perceived risk of transgenic use has defined their level of acceptability among different global societies. GMOs have been widely applied to agricultural commodities, among them the Roundup Ready™ (RR™) soybean line GTS 40-3-2 has become the most prevalent transgenic crop in the world.

Hepatopoietin (HPO) is a novel human hepatotrophic growth factor. Recently, we demonstrated that the extra-cellular ligand form of HPO can stimulate proliferation of hepatic cells via its specific receptor, which is on the surface of these cells. Also, the intracellular formofHPOpotentiates the transcriptional factor AP-1. Intriguingly, a variety of HPO complexes with different molecular masses were detected in hepatocytes.

GToligomers, showingadose-dependent cytotoxic effect on a variety of human cancer cell lines, but not on normal human lymphocytes, recognize and form complexes with nuclear proteins.By working with human T-lymphoblastic CCRF-CEM cells and by using MS and SouthWestern blotting, we identified eukaryotic elongation factor 1 alpha (eEF1A) as the main nuclear protein that specifically recognizes these oligonucleotides.Western blotting and supershift assays confirmed the nature of this protein and its involvement in forming a cytotoxicity-related complex (CRC)....

Photodynamic treatment (PDT) is an emerging therapeutic procedure for the management of cancer, based on the use of photosensitizers, compounds that generate highly reactive oxygen species (ROS) on irradiation with visible light. The ROS generated may oxidize a variety of bio-molecules within the cell, loaded with a photosensitizer. The high reactivity of these ROS restricts their radius of action to 5–20 nm from the site of their generation.

Báo cáo khoa học: Regulation of STAT signalling by proteolytic processing Lisa Hendry and Susan John
Interaction of cytokines with their cognate receptors leads to the activation of latent transcription factors, the signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) proteins. Numerous studies have identified the critical roles played by STAT proteins in regulating cell proliferation, differ-entiation and survival. Consequently, the activity of STAT proteins is negatively regulated by a variety of different mechanisms, which include alternative splicing, covalent modifications, protein–protein interactions with negative regulatory proteins and proteolytic processing by pro-teases....

Plectin, a large and widely expressed cytolinker protein, is composed of several subdomains that harbor binding sites for a variety of different interaction partners. A canonical actin-binding domain (ABD) comprising two calponin homology domains (CH1 and CH2) is located in proximity to its amino terminus. However, the ABD of plectin is unique among actin-binding proteins as it is expressed in the form of distinct, plectin isoform-specific versions.

Cyclic nucleotide specific phosphodiesterases (PDEs) are important components of all cAMP signalling networks. In humans, 11 different PDE families have been identified to date, all of which belong to the class I PDEs. Pharmaco-logically, theyhavebecome of great interest as targets for the development of drugs for a large variety of clinical condi-tions. PDEs in parasitic protozoa have not yet been exten-sively investigated, despite their potential as antiparasitic drug targets.

Palladin is an actin-associated protein that has been suggested to play crit-ical roles in establishing cell morphology and maintaining cytoskeletal organization in a wide variety of cell types. Palladin has been shown previ-ously to bind directly to three different actin-binding proteins vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP), a-actinin and ezrin, suggesting that it functions as an organizing unit that recruits actin-regulatory proteins to specific subcellular sites.
