Nodal basis functions in p-adaptive finte element methods

In adaptive finite element methods, the papproach uses elements of varying degrees to represent the approximate solution. In this paper, we systematically define, present and prove the main properties of nodal basis functions utilized in p-adaptive finite element methods.
