In this research, we had successfully prepared a series of RF-carbon nitride composites for photocatalyst application. The modification of carbon nitride with RF resins aimed to enhance physical characteristics and photocatalytic activity toward organic pollutants, such as methylene blue. XRD, FTIR, SEM, and N2 adsorptiondesorption isotherms were used to characterize the asprepared composite materials.

Microplastics present in high density in coastal marine environments have been reported by many published works worldwide. Microplastic presence poses a major threat to all organisms that come into direct contact with them in the aquatic environment because they are non-biodegradable and adsorbable to some toxic substances.

This study presents a preliminary investigation on using pristine aluminum particles as anodes for lithium-ion battery. The microstructural characteristics of aluminum particle samples with sizes from 100 nm (0.1 μm) to 70 µm were analyzed by the SEM and XRD methods. The electrochemical behaviors of the aluminum particles were examined by the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD) measurements.

Harvesting microalgae by centrifugation and filtration is very costly, affecting technical and economical feasibility of downstream processing of algal biomas to bioproducts. Flocculation is a potential technique for recovery of algae biomass. Particularly, flocculation using magnetic nanoparticles offers high separation efficiency due to their high surface area and magnetic properties. I

The catalyst 7.5% NiO/TiO2 and seven samples of NiO/γ-Al2O3 with NiO content from 7.5% to 60% have been obtained and studied. Physico-chemical characteristics of the catalysts were determined by methods of Adsorption (BET), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), TemperatureProgrammed Reduction (TPR) and Hydrogen Pulse Titration. The catalytic properties of the obtained samples were investigated in the reaction of CO methanation at temperatures 180 – 220◦C and mole ratios hydrogen/carbon monoxide 25-100.

The thesis has found a new method to increase the pore size of mesoporous carbon by filling the liquid glass into the pore of the template (silica SBA-15) before impregnating the carbon presource to limit the penetration of carbon sealed the pore system of SBA-15. Stability of mesoporous carbon is increases due to silicon are partially retained in materials. This technique opens the way of synthesis of mesoporous carbon as an adsorbent with a desired pore size and stability.

Investigations of kinetics of p-xylene deep oxidation on CuO/ -Al2O3 and CuO/ZSM-5 have been carried out. Specific surface area and pore size of catalyst samples as well as metallic state characteristics and catalytic properties of copper have been established. Catalyst CuO/ZSM-5 has been found to be more active than the first one, but it expressed lower stability because of less stable active form of Cu2+ on zeolite surface.

In this article, iron nanoparticles were synthesized by reduction of FeCl3.6H2O 0,045M using NaBH4 0,25M. Characteristics of obtained iron particales were studied by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction method (XRD) and BET specific surface area, and maximum benzen adsorption. The TEM results of synthesized iron nanoparticales show that iron particles are spherical in shape and connected in chains, the particale size is about 3 - 50nm. The X-ray results show that synthesized nanoparticles is iron at 44.720.

In 1998, it was first reported that a silica material with large, uniform mesopores arranged into a two-demensional hexagonal structure is synthesized using triblock copolymer and oligomer templates poly (ethylene oxide), (EO)n. This silica was denoted SBA-15. Up to now, it is believed that ordered mesopores of SBA-15 are connected through complementary pores (microporores and small mesopores) in the siliceous pore walls. SBA-15 can be readily synthesized using cheap materials and it shows attractive structural properties, very good hydrothemal stability.

Adsorption by activated red mud (ARM) is investigated as a possible alternative to the conventional methods of Cr(VI) removal from aqueous synthetic solutions and industrial effluents. Adsorption characteristics suggest the heterogenous nature of the adsorbent surface sites with respect to the energy of adsorption. Various factors such as pH, contact time, Cr(VI) concentration, amount of adsorbent, and temperature are taken into account, and promising results are obtained.
