Clonorchiasis infection is a food-borne parasitic disease that significantly impacts on public health. Among the three species of small liver flukes, Clonorchis sinensis (C. sinensis) is the most prevalent. It is estimated that approximately 35 million individuals worldwide are infected with C. Sinensis, with those affected having a risk of developing cholangiocarcinoma. This study employed an analytical descriptive study, conducting cross-sectional surveys involving 459 individuals aged 18 and older at the study site.

Recent advancements in metagenomics, particularly in the studies of conservative 16S rRNA sequences, have significantly accelerated our understanding of the relationship between corals and their associated microbial communities. While bacteria are known to be closely linked with corals, there is limited understanding of the connections between archaea and corals.
