Ngân hàng bộ gen của một sinh vật là tập hợp các trình tự DNA cấu thành bộ gen được gắn vào vector, nó chỉ biểu diễn tổng số của gen. Ngân hàng này được tạo ra từ một bộ sưu tập DNA tái tổ hợp cả các chuỗi mã hóa lẫn các chuỗi không mã hóa. Khác với ngân hàng cDNA, ngân hàng bộ gen có thể được thiết lập bất kỳ loại tế bào nào của sinh vật nghiên cứu.

A nitroalkane-oxidizing enzyme gene (naoA) was cloned from a genomic DNA library ofStreptomyces ansochromo-genes7100. The deduced protein (NaoA) of this gene con-tains 363 amino acids and has high similarity to several nitroalkane-oxidizing enzymes from various micro-organ-isms.ThenaoAgenewas subcloned intoanexpressionvector pET23b and overexpressed inEscherichia coliBL21(DE3).
