  • This study examines the costs and benefits of traditional rice production as well as of different adaptation methods to saltwater intrusion in the Central Coastal region of Vietnam. Data is collected through a structured questionnaire at the farm household level, focus groups discussion and through key informant interviews. Our results indicate that traditional rice production becomes less profitable as the level of saltwater intrusion on the land plots increases.
