Mix of data

This study explores the sociolinguistic practices of overseas Vietnamese fans of Korean dramas (Kdramas) through their interactions on an online blog. Utilizing an online ethnography approach, the author collected qualitative data from blog posts and interactions. The findings reveal that K-drama fans develop a unique vernacular, often incorporating code-mixing, which may be incomprehensible to non-fans.

Recent MLP-Mixer has a good ability to handle longrange dependencies, however, to have a good performance, one requires huge data and expensive infrastructures for the pre-training process. In this study, we proposed a novel model for nuclei image segmentation namely Axial Convolutional-MLP Mixer, by replacing the token mixer of MLP-Mixer with a new operator, Axial Convolutional Token Mix.

The research design adopted to address this problem utilised mixed data collection methodologies. In order to determine what was happening in the industry as a whole, a specially designed survey was conducted utilising both web-based and traditional paper-based instruments. This provided valuable quantitative data about the rate of uptake, types of companies and so on. To complement this, a focus group of selected representatives within the industry was conducted to delve more deeply into motivations behind the decision to adopt the technology and the perceived benefits derived from it.

The present study investigates teachers‘ perceptions of the values of the CEFR, the perceived readiness and necessity of its application, and the work involved in its application process. Also, it explores teachers‘ responses to the use of the CEFR to renew the general English curriculum, reflected in how they changed their teaching activities, adapted the assigned textbooks and modified their assessment practice. The study was a case study applying the mixed method sequential explanatory model (Creswell & Clark, 2007).

The first research objective uses the mixed-method research including qualitative and quantitative research to the quality of sidewalk in HCMC by capturing sidewalk liveliness as a quality dimension in HCMC. The thesis is devoted to constructing and evaluating versions of the SM extended with an A4 symmetry to explain some of the problems of neutrino physics. Within these extended models, the results on neutrino masses and mixing, derived by the perturbation method, are very closed to the global fit. In two models, a relation between the Dirac CPV phase and the mixing angles is established. In particular, the models predict Dirac CPV phase δCP and effective mass of neutrinoless double beta decay jhmeeij in good agreement with the current experimental data.

Two blind analyses for 241Pu(nth,f) isobaric fission yields have been conducted, one analysis using a mix of a Monte-Carlo and an analytical method, the other one relying only on analytical calculations. The calculations have been derived from the same analysis path and experimental data, obtained on the LOHENGRIN mass spectrometer at the Institut Laue-Langevin.

Critical success can then be defined as the factors of success that a company should prioritize in order to proceed in a constructive direction. However, MEPS-HC does not include data on immigration status, and until 2007 did not report whether an individual was born in the United States. We therefore constructed a regression model using CHIS 2009 confidential data to predict the immigration status of MEPS-HC respondents based on a variety of socioeconomic, demographic, and family characteristics.

In the preceding chapters, we presented several approaches for the estimation of the independent component analysis (ICA) model. In particular, several algorithms were proposed for the estimation of the basic version of the model, which has a square mixing matrix and no noise. Now we are, in principle, ready to apply those algorithms on real data sets. Many such applications will be discussed in Part IV.
