Tourist needs

Travel service business is a lconditiona business, regulated by the Law on Tourism; products are travel programs and tours. In particular, travel companies are the bridge between tourists and other services to serve tourists. Based on the Law on Tourism 2017, there are regulations related to travel service business conditions; however, these provisions are still not unified, and there are still overlaps that need to be removed.

The article uses qualitative research methods to analyze the potential, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges to develop community tourism. To develop community tourism, close coordination between local authorities, tourism businesses, local communities and tourists is needed. The competitiveness index of tourist destinations is essential for attracting visitors and adequately addressing their needs. Given that competitiveness is influenced by numerous factors, it is essential to create a scale for assessing these factors. This study developed a scale to evaluate factors affecting competitiveness in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province, a notable tourist destination recognized for the World Cultural Heritage site of Hoi An ancient town.
