The research "Solving constrained optimization tasks in civil engineering using εDifferential Evolution developed with Visual C#. NET" work aims at constructing an evolutionary algorithm based approach for solving complex constrained optimization tasks. The -Differential Evolution ( -DE) proposed by Takahama, et al. [1], is selected as the employed evolutionary approach. The -DE has been proven to be capable optimizer for tackling sophisticated problems in various engineering field. In this study, this optimization method is developed in Visual C#.

Designing cantilever retaining walls is an important task in various construction projects. The study "Optimizing cantilever retaining wall design using feasibility rule-based evolutionary algorithm developed with Visual C# .NET" aims at constructing an evolutionary-algorithm-based cantilever retaining wall design approach. Differential Evolution (DE) and the feasibility rule-based constraint-handling (FRBCH) method are integrated to achieve the research objective. A DE based software program incorporating FRBCH has been developed with Visual C# .NET to facilitate its implementation.

The tectonic evolutionary history between the Xing’an Block (XB) and Songnen Block (SB) in the eastern Central Asia Orogenic Belt (CAOB) has been hotly debated. In this study, we present a series of new data to provide a better constraint on the magmatic process during plate subduction and its implications for the regional tectonic evolution of XB and SB, even the CAOB. The whole-rock geochemistry and zircon U-Pb chronology of syenogranite in the Chaihe area of the Great Xing’an Range have been carried out.

Purpose: Study the existence of inertial manifolds and the asymptotic behavior of solutions to certain classes of evolution equations in an infinite-dimensional Banach space. The evolution equations considered with the linear parts is the generator of a semigroup and the Lipschitz coefficient of the nonlinear term may depend on time and belongs to admissible function spaces which contain wide classes of function spaces like Lp-spaces, the Lorentz spaces Lp,q and many other function spaces occurring in interpolation theory.

In our study we have done photometry for open cluster M67. Photometric results are plotted in the color-magnitude diagram. The number of stars in each evolutionary phase has been estimated. The existence of blue stragglers in our result requires further research about stellar evolution and interacting binary stars.

In this paper, we present a novel global protein-protein interaction network alignment algorithm, which is enhanced with an extended large neighborhood search heuristics. Evaluated on benchmark datasets of yeast, fly, human and worm, the proposed algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms. Furthermore, the complexity of ours is polynomial, thus being scalable to large biological networks in practice.
