This paper presents the results of 32 experiments (L32) that aimed to examine the impact of grinding parameters on surface roughness and cutting force during the surface grinding of 90CrSi steel using the Hai Duong grinding wheel.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) coated on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was synthesized with CNTs and TiO2 using the grinded method. The XRS spectra include that of the obtained single-phase anatase sample. The UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra show that the composite material can absorb at a higher wavelength and the absorption covers the whole visible region.

The application of the catalysts to photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) was tested under visible light irradiation. From photocatalytic result, we found that all Zn2SnO4/CNTs composite catalysts exhibit higher MB degradation activity than add Zn2SnO4.

Two techniques are used for leaching uranium ores - acid leaching using mainly sulfuric acid and alkaline (using a mixture of sodium carbonate and bicarbonate). Alkaline leaching is particulary advantageous in the treastment of the ores with high content of carbonate minerals, since these minerals are not attacked by carbonate solutions. The effect of oxidants, grind size, carbonate concentration and leaching time on the efficiency of uranium recovery from the ores containing 3.5% of carbonate was investigated.

A series of ground La(Co,Cu)O3 perovskite-type mixed oxides prepared by reactive grinding has been characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), BET, H2-TPR, O2-TPD, and CO disproportionation. All ground samples show a rather high specific surface area and nanometric particles. The solids were pretreated under H2 atmosphere to provide a finely dispersed Co-Cu phase which is active for the hydrogenation of CO.
