Chương 5 "Quản lý vòng đời yêu cầu" này trình bày cách theo dõi và kiểm soát yêu cầu trong suốt vòng đời của dự án. Nội dung gồm: quản lý truy vết yêu cầu (traceability), duy trì tính toàn vẹn và tính nhất quán của yêu cầu, xử lý thay đổi yêu cầu, xác nhận và phê duyệt yêu cầu với các bên liên quan. Mục tiêu là đảm bảo yêu cầu luôn được cập nhật, đúng mục tiêu và hỗ trợ ra quyết định hiệu quả.

5.1 - TRACE REQUIREMENTS
TRACE REQUIREMENTS • Trace Requirements analyses and maintains the relationships between requirements, designs, solution components, and other work products for impact analysis, coverage and allocation • Purpose: Ensure that requirements and designs at different levels are aligned to one another, and to manage the effects of change to one level on related requirements • Description: Identifies and documents the lineage of each requirement, including its backward traceability, its forward traceability, and its relationship to other requirements.
