  1. UNIT ONE : BACK TO SCHOOL Lesson 3: B. Names and addresses (1- 2). I. Objectives. By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer about personal information such as: name, age, address… -Students get: 1. Vocabulary: - Family name (n) - Middle name (n ) - Address (n) 2. Grammar. - The simple present tense. -Structure: What’s your family name? What’s your middle name?
  2. II.Preparation: - Material: Textbook,workbook, sub-board. - Equipments: tape, casstte, sub-board. III.Teaching process: 1.Class organization: 2.Oral test: S1: does A3(a) P4 of workbook. S2: does A3(b) P4 of workbook. S3: does A4 P4 of workbook by oral. 3.Newlesson: A. Warm up: Noughts and Crosses . You 54 - Quang Trung Hoa 13 Street Her mother You father Le loi Linh 40 street 19 Hung Nam Grandmother Vuong 60
  3. - Ss: ask and answer about the information in the grids. EX: S1: How old are you? S2: I’m 13. - T: remarks and demonstrates the group which wins the game. B. Presentation: B1. Listen. Then practice with a partner. *Pre reading - T: introduces the situation of the dialogue, then explains some new words. + Family name (n) : ( the first name ):Pham + Middle name (n) : Thi + Address (n) : ( where you live) - Ss read new words in chorus and individually.
  4. - T: corrects their pronunciation. * While reading - T: asks Ss to look at their books and listen to the tape . - Ss work in pairs reading the dialogue. - T: calls on some pairs to read the dialogue in front of the class. - T: corrects their pronunciation. - T: asks Ss to look at the questions then work in pairs : one asks and one asnwers. - T: calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class. - T: corrects the mistakes and gives the correct answers: a. She is talking to Mrs Lien. b. Her family name is Pham. c. Her middle name is Thi. d. She lives at 12 Tran Hung Dao street. - Ss practice in pairs, using the cues: + Nam – Nguyen – 15 – 32 Nguyen Du street. + Hoa – Pham – 12 – TranHungDao street. + Minh – Tran – 13 – Da Nang. + Thuy – Bui – 14 – LeHongPhong street.
  5. - T: calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class. - T: corrects the mistakes if necessary. * Post reading: Ss work in pair to make the same dialogues about themselves. B2. Write . Complete this dialogue. * Pre writing - T: introduces the situation of part 2. - T: asks Ss to revise Wh- words , using word square. W H E R E W H H M N H H O T A U O I W T A T H C R H E O N H S O T A M R - T: gives the answer: what,where,who ,which,how. - T: asks Ss to give the use and the position of wh –words.
  6. *While writing - T: asks Ss to complete the dialogue . - T: asks them to exchange the result with their partner. - T: calls on some Ss to give the answers in front of the class. - T: corrects and gives the correct answers: Who- Who – What/which – Where – Where – How. *Post writing: - T: calls on some pairs to read the completed dialogue aloud. - T: corrects their pronunciation. 4. Consolidation: - Ss ask the partner questions then complete the form B3 p16. - T: asks Ss to give the questions for the information. - T: makes model with a student: EX: + What’s your name? + How old are you? + Which grade are you in? + What’s your school’s name? or Which school do you study at? + Where do you live?
  7. - Ss: work in pairs. - T: calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class. - T: remarks. 5. Homework -Do exercise B1,2 at page 5,6 in workbook., -Prepare part B 4,5.
