Yes, S +was/were /No, S + wasn’t/weren’t *Uses : 1 ễn tả hành động và sự việc dang sảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá . Di khứ. ex. I was watching T.V at 9 O’clock last night 2 . Di ễn tả hành động và sự việc đang sảy ra (động từ chia ở thì quá khứ tiếp diễn), thì một hành động khác sảy đến(động từ chia ở thì quá khứ đơn) trong quá khứ. ex. When I was doing my homework, Nam came. 3 . Di ễn tả hai hay nhiều hành động xảy ra tại một thời điểm trong quá khứ. ex. While They were listening to music, I was watching T.V. V.Compound nouns ( danh từ kép): N1 – V_ing – N2 Ex: It’s a rice-cooking contest VI. Reported speech ( lời nói trần thuật) là câu thuật lại một cách gián tiếp lời nói của người khác. Nếu động từ tường thuật ở thì hiện tại thì thì của động từ chính được giữ nguyên khi chuyển lời nói trực tiếp sang gián tiếp.Trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn,thời gian và đại từ chỉ định được giữ nguyên. Ex: “I’m arriving at 6:00” says she. – She says (that) she’s arriving at 6:00. Nếu động từ thường thuật (reporting verb) của câu ở thì quá khứ thì phải lùi động từ chính về một bậc khi chuyển từ lời nói trực tiếp (direct speech) sang lời nói gián tiếp (indirect / reported speech) theo quy tắc sau : Direct speech Reported speech is/am was are were have/has had will would can could must had to shall should may might don’t/ doesn’t didn’t 2
* Một số chuyển đổi khác: Khi chuyển từ lời nói trực tiếp sang gián tiếp mà động từ tường thuật ở thì quá khứ thì các trạng từ chỉ thời gian và nơi chốn và đại từ chỉ định được chuyển đổi theo quy tắc sau : Direct speech Reported speech today / tonight that day / that night tomorrow the following day/ the day after/ the next day yesterday the day before /the previous day ago / now before / then next/ on Monday the next/ following Monday last Monday the previous Monday / the Monday before the day after tomorrow in two days’ time / two days later this / these that / those here there Một số loại câu tường thuật 1.Với câu trần thuật : S + said (that) S +V(lùi một thì về quá khứ)... Ex : She said : “I am a student”. She said that She was a student 2.Với câu Yes/No Question: S +asked + O if/whether S+ V (lùi một thì về quá khứ ) Ex. She said to me : “can you speak English fluently?” She asked me if I could speak English fluently. 3. Với câu hỏi Wh – Questions : S + asked + O + Wh + S + V(lùi một thì về quá khứ). Ex : “Where do you live?” She said to me. She asked me Where I lived. VII.Thì hiện tại hoàn thành :(+) S + has/have + PP... (He/She/It/Peter...+has +PP . I/You/We/They/Peter and Mary...+have +PP) () S + hasn’t/haven’t + PP... (?) Has/Have + S +PP ... ? Yes, S + has/have . No, hasn’t/haven’t. *Dấu hiệu nhận biết : since/for/yet/already/just/ever. Since + điểm thời gian. For + khoảng thời gian 1 .The present perfect tense (thì hiện tại hoàn thành ) S+ have/ has +p.p (Ved /V 3 ) +O Dùng để diễn tả một hành động diễn ra ở quá khứ và còn kéo dài đến hiện tại S+ Have /Has + p.p +O +since /for +time Diễn tả một hành động đã xảy ra rồi S +Have /Has +already +p.p +O Diến tả một hành động chưa hoàn thành xong: Have /Has +S +P.P +O ..yet? 2. The past progresive tense(Thì quá khứ tiếp diễn ) S +was /were + Ving +O Diễn tả một hành động đang diễn ra tại một thời điểm xác định ở quá khứ ( at 8 o’clock lastnight / at this time last Sunday ) Diễn tả hai hành động xảy ra song song cùng một lúc : While +S + Were /Was +Ving +O, S + Were /Was +Ving +O Hai hành động diễn ra ở quá khứ. Một hành động đang diễn ra thì có một hành động khác chen vào .Hành động đang diễn ra chia thì qktd , hành động chen vào chia thì qkđ . 3
