- Week: 32 Period: 123 UNIT 19: WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU WANT TO SEE? Lesson 2 (1, 2, 3) I. Objectives. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: Express reasons why they like or do not like animals. Sentence Patterns: I like _____ because _____. / ̶ I don’t like ___because _____. Vocabulary: tigers – crocodiles – scary; bears, elephants, big / zebras, beautiful / kangaroos, fast. 2. Skills. Develop Ss speaking and listening skills 3. Attitudes/ Quality: Live responsibly Confident in learning and practice situations 4. Forming competence: Self study. Communication and cooperation. II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... III. Preparation. 1. Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book. 2. Student’s preparation: books, notebooks, workbooks. IV. Procedures. Content Teacher’s activities Students’ activities A. Warm up Play the game Charades Play the game (5’) B. New lesson Task 1. Look, listen and repeat. (30’) Have Ss to look at the book at page 60 Look at the pictures in the Elicit the character and have Ss guess book what they are saying. Listen Teacher introduces some new words: funny, scary Listen Have Ss listen to the recording as they read the lines in the speech bubbles Listen and repeat Play the recording again for Ss to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles two times. Read in group Divide the class into two groups. One repeat Nam’s part and the other repeat Linda’s part. Repeat Play the recording again for the whole

Knowledge: Ask and answer questions about someone's desire. Read, listen, and complete the sentences. Read and complete the sentences, using the pictures. Sing the song Why or why not. Sentence Patterns: Revision Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. Develop reading, speaking and listening skills 3. Attitudes/ Quality: Live responsibly Confident in learning and practice situations 4. Forming competence: Self study. Communication and cooperation. II. Write the reasons why they want go to the zoo, and like or do not like animals, using the guiding questions. Draw and colour their favourite animal(s). Then show it / them, and tell the class the reasons why they like it / them. Sentence Patterns: Revision Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. Develop Ss speaking and listening skills 3.
